AUOemah Batur is an excellent choice for a quiet and cozy getaway. It's set against a picturesque view of the mountains and nearby lake. It is also close to the main road, which has a number of warungs, restaurants, hot springs and convenience stores. Rahim, in particular, is an excellent staff who made our stay feel very special and personal. The food, WiFi, and assistance with other activities (including bonfire at night) was top-notch.
SKThe staff were amazing and tried to accommodate every need. The place was neat and clean, great location and a beautiful garden with swimming pool. I loved the stay and would definitely stay again.
The lack of hot spring water in the pool
USIt was the perfect location for our Mount Batur hike as it is only about 10 minutes from our drop off point and we were able to be picked up at 3 am instead of earlier. The room was clean, working AC and hot shower, the view is stunning, the breakfast was simple but delicious. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Great value for what we needed!
There was a strange smell in the bathroom, not necessarily a bad smell but we couldn’t quite put our finger on it. But the bathroom itself was very clean.
FRExtremely well placed if you have booked to hike up the Mount Batur as the track leading is right by the hotel. Stunning views of the mountains from the hotel and the hosts are lovely people. It was nice to meet and chat to other guests around fire in the evening.
The bathroom was quite dirty, breakfast was very mediocre, the pool is not heated and the flies are an absolute nightmare in this area. So sitting around the pool surrounded by flies is not so pleasant. You should know that there is practically nothing to do in this area apart from climbing Batur and renting jeeps (it is not possible to drive up the mountain, you must walk). The hotel offers the hiking at a higher price than other guides in the area.
