Oemah Batur

Beautiful spot at the foot of Mt Batur. Angga went above and beyond to make our stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible. He helped us arrange transport, meals and a guide up the mountain. He was friendly and available as was everyone on-site! The food was delicious (the Ayam Bakar was AMAZING), the pool gorgeous and the rooms very comfortable. Such a great place to stay if you're keen to see the Mt Batur sunrise but not keen on getting the 2AM shuttle to the Mountain trial!!

Loved everything! Somethings to be aware of I saw in other reviews - Yes, there are flies but the rooms all have fly screens to keep them outside! The water is full of minerals so you can see where water has sat in the bathrooms but they were extremely clean on our visit 👌 The area is developing quickly but don't expect all the food and luxury of Kuta/Seminyak etc. Eat local and take your own snacks if you're particular!

Very good stay! Especially if you're planning on going up Mount Batur for the sunrise trek, which the accommodation can book for you. Very comfortable bed, lovely hosts and yummy food.

The bathroom is a little dated, but the water is warm and there's soap.

Oemah Batur was a beautiful place with immaculate lush gardens. Staff were very friendly and bed was big and comfy. Batur trekking was also amazing and recommend the guide from the hotel as he was awesome. Also had two hotel dogs accompany us to the top of the volcano and back!

Can't really fault it to be honest.

Super Nice mini hôtel and super nice guest. Very nice owner and it is super simple to communicate with them especially for the mont batur hike.

Lot of noise during the night due to animals

Very nice accomodation very close to the start of trekking route. Owners and staff were friendly and helpful.

Flies are everywhere outside, but that is a problem of the area in general :)

Exceptional location with a magnificent swimming pool and view of the mountains Perfect if you want to hike Mont Batur because it's very close to the start of the hike The hosts are exceptional and open-minded Possibility to discuss and chill around a campfire with hosts and other guests

The staff was nice and tried their best to make us comfortable. The pool looked nice but it didn't have enough sun beds for all the guests which was unfortunate.

The area - this is the worst place we've been to in Bali. Garbage thrown away everywhere, lots of flies (and I mean lots of flies - I stayed in a slum for 2 months and still here I saw more flies) The fact that the accomodation doesn't even try to compensate for the bad area - rooms are dirty and super cold during the night. Bathroom floor was sticky and toilet alarmingly dirty. Sheets full of stains, spider webs above the bed. Food - the accomodation provides breakfast, indeed ( I had one pancake that was uncooked and tasted like raw egg - maybe the noodles are better). If you want to eat in other places near by I wish you luck. We tried 4 warungs and the food tasted ok in one of them, however there were a lot of flies in the food. We ended up leaving earlier, as we realized that there is nothing to do in the area, except from climbing mount batur - which by the way it's a ripp off if you end up getting a guide from there. You can climb the mountain at a fair price from Ubud. People - this is the only area in Bali where the people were actually not really friendly, in fact they were the opposite of friendly - we walked around quite a bit and people were just looking at us with a frown - not to mention the ripping off again - everything was at least double price than in other areas in Bali. We spoke with other travellers that we encountered and besides mount batur they were all really eager to get out of there.

- We loved this stunning place which was in a fabulous location to Mount Batur and local restaurants/shops. - Lovely staff - You can book your excursions with the property & we defo recommend (we hiked mount Batur in a private group & the 2 dogs at the property followed us the whole way!! Was the cutest & best thing!)
