The flies! All of the Batur region is heavily swarmed by flies. There are so many and they love to stalk you, especially when eating. To be fair, the accommodation can't help it, it must be the compost use of the farmers. Still, they do dominate the experience on mt. Batur

BYFirst of all I have to say that the manager and employees of this place are super welcoming and attentive. They solved all our questions and offered immediate assistance. Privacy, close to hot springs and to the climb, nature, well-groomed grounds, neat and dry houses.
Breakfast could be better. The rest of my negatives relate to the area in general and my expectations, not this place, but perhaps it will be useful to someone. There is an environmental problem in Kintamani, apparently due to improper agriculture or other exploitation of nature, there are a lot of flies there. This is very unpleasant, they crawl everywhere during the daytime (there are no insects or flies in the house, everything there is well protected from them). The hotel has a regular pool with cold water, that is, it is not a hot spring (but it’s a 10-minute walk to the hot springs). The road to the hotel is very bad.
VNWe enjoyed the place very much, when we booked the room, we got the number of the place and got much information from the manager, so we made up our mind and booked the transport, as well as the mount Batur climbing tour with them, everything is more than what we expected. We would like to give a special thank to all staff there, specially the young man (sorry I forgot his name, but he has long hair) he is genuenly friendly, and very helpful, he speaks very good English as well !!

NLThis was one of the best places I stayed during my trip. The staff is so so so friendly. At night they build a bonfire and I learnt so much about Balinese culture by talking to staff. Also the trekking arranged by hotel was 10/10. If you are looking for a place to stay, this is it!

CH-Very well located if you want to hike for Mount Batur : the hotel is located at the beginning of the path. They organise for you a guide. -Very nice and caring staff -delicious grilled fish cooked for the dinner!
-not absolutely clean, could be better. We didn't feel very comfortable -the room is quite dark even with the light on -the facilities are very basic but it's okay as the night is quite cheap -lots of flies due to agriculture, so they can do nothing about it. But personally it bothered me quite a lot. Fortunately it's better in the evening ;)
