Lacken Millhouse and Gardens

The breakfast is excellent and the accommodation is both comfortable and you have a quiet room with scenic views. Parking is available around the house and there is a beautiful woodland and flowing rivers behind the property. Fishing is possible but the natural scenery will rejuvenate and uplift your spirits.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike as this is luxury accommodation in tastefully appointed rooms. Shower and bathroom facilities are also excellent with attention to detail everywhere. There is also a wood burning stove set in a traditional wooden beamed fireplace that gives excellent warmth and period charm.

We stayed here for the evening and honestly had such a lovely time. The place was incredibly quiet and peaceful, exactly what we needed to decompress at the end of the day. Helen was wonderfully flexible and accommodating, which made everything feel easy and relaxed from start to finish. We'll stay again. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a calm, comfortable spot to unwind.

Decoration and garden

The breakfast is excellent. The location is ideal if you require a 'quiet' location. You will need to drive to this location but if you have the correct postcode, you will be able to find this location. There is a sharp right hand turn at the bottom of the village which you need to watch out for. Take your time on this narrow road and you will be ok. The location is literally on the waters edge and you can fish if you want to also.

This venue is ideal. I cannot think of anything that I didn't like.

The most beautiful house and garden with such a welcoming host. Helen was the loveliest lady who made myself and my daughter feel right at home. Thank you for such a lovely stay 🙂

The home and grounds are beautiful. The breakfast was the best we had in all of Ireland. The hostess was delightful. I highly recommend!
