Maple home stay and cottage

The view from our room & balcony was really beautiful, the room was very clean and looks exactly like in the photos. The hosts are extremely friendly and help where they can. The breakfast was amazing with a lot of different food to choose from, and all our requests were catered for, there even was always a little too much. Ella and the train station are a 10 minute walk away, but the great location on the mountain means you don't hear any of the loud noise in the city and have an absolutely stunning view on the balcony!

We had a fantastic stay! The room was spacious, very clean, and had an amazing view where we could watch the sunrise. The mini fridge was a great bonus. Located a little outside the busy main street, it was peaceful yet just a 10-minute walk to the center. The host was incredibly kind, welcoming us with water upon arrival and serving a delicious breakfast each morning. The hospitality made our stay even better. If you’re looking for a quiet yet convenient place with great amenities and a stunning view, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommended!

Hiking up all the stairs from the city center, but I guess it serves us well as free exercise :)

Lovely, bright room with wonderful views. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Very peaceful setting, yet the hustle and bustle of downtown Ella was within easy reach.

What we liked? Everything! The homestayer and his wife, children was absolutelly kind and nice. Great location, calm and clean place with delicious breakfast.

Location and view were amazing. Right near Little Adams Peak and City Centre. The staff prepared a delicious breakfast!

The room could of had a place to hang a jacket or two and luggage placement. Access to drinking water would be nice. They had a few broken windows in the room that could have been fixed.

Beautiful room with exceptional views from the balcony. Breakfast was great and hosts very helpful. Short walk down to the bustling centre with restaurants and bars. Tuck tuck back. People very friendly. Close to train station. Recommend walking littles Adams peek.

Before I talk about the guesthouse itself: I personally didn't like Ella that much. We came for 3 nights in early January, which of course was high season and we knew, but I didn't expect Ella to be that full with people. It was the most touristic place we went and for me it was too busy, commercial etc. It felt like a once nice and scenic place expoloded very fast and almost everything is there for only the tourists. I still enjoyed our time though because we stayed at Maple! It's not a fancy place, but it had everything we needed. And the view was absolutely stunning and I was happy to be a bit outside of actual Ella. The owner was very friendly, all three mornings we had a great breakfast with different components and he even made us an earlier breakfast when we had to take the train in the morning when we left. We were traveling with our 3 year old daughter, she also got an extra breakfast every morning.
