Hillside Cottage

A amazing stay. Warm welcome from Pauline and John, they were very attentive and offered suggestions of places to go for dinner upon our arrival. They were very knowledgable about the area. The room was beautiful and had the best bed we have ever slept in! It was huge, extremely comfortable, and beautiful fresh white linen. It was perfect, I didn’t want to get up. We slept with the curtains and windows open, and enjoyed the garden view and early morning birdsong whilst having a cuppa from the well stocked tray. Pauline and John love what they do and were very attentive. Breakfast was exceptional, we were offered coffee/tea as soon as we sat down and engaged in warm, two way conversation. We had a selection of cereals to choose from, beautiful selection of fresh fruit and yoghurt, which we thoroughly enjoyed, followed by a freshly cooked breakfast of choice, and toast. What a start to the day! The local pub was open on our last night and we enjoyed an easy stroll for dinner. The menu was much better than usual ‘pub’ fare, and served delicious food.

There wasn't anything we didn’t like, we wish we could have stayed longer than the 3 nights we had booked and would love to visit again. Thank you both for making our stay so enjoyable.

Pauline was very helpful and cheerful! Very clean room. Option of 2 singles or a double bed. Very comfortable. Great breakfast of course! We could come and go as we wanted, as we had a house key. Pub within very close walking distance and only a few miles to Ledbury.

Pauline and John were very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Our hosts Pauline & John were lovely. We were well looked after & hope we might get to visit again. Room was lovely & our private shower room was good too. We really enjoyed breakfasts, great choice including a bowl of fresh fruit, grapes, raspberries,strawberries & blueberries before an excellent cooked breakfast!

I was concerned about the narrow roads/bends leading up to the cottage but I am a nervous & cautious driver & usually avoid tricky locations. However, I needn't of worried, all worked out well. It wasn't too difficult.
