The Sutherland Arms

Friendly helpful host. Large double bed. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. Nice local pub underneath with good banter from the locals. Very reasonably priced bar. Shared kitchen if you wanted to do your own food. Washing machine and dryer available.

Bar has music sometimes, so a bit of noise permeates the rooms.

Well presented bedroom and en suite. Impeccably clean, no street noise and very spacious. We stayed overnight on our trip to Alton Towers, so perfect location for that stay.

We personally didn’t find the bed to be the most comfortable but we’ve put that down the personal taste. The mattress, bedding and pillows were all good quality

Location is a bit down at heel.

Cleanliness

Noise ftom road, room could do with air conditioning, had to have window open all night, and the smell from local takeaways was disgusting...the road outside us extremely busy all night.

Nice size twin room. Good clean communal kitchen

Friday night was karaoke night down stairs. It was extremely loud as if the bar was in our room.

The staff were lovely the room was very clean and very good.

The location was terrible for us. The Booking.com had said it was 400 yards from the city of Stoke. It was not it was 2 1/2 miles from the city of Stoke. We were in completely the wrong location. Whilst the room was clean, and lovely staff I had a very bad night sleep because the pillows were feather pillows and quite old and lumpy and I’m allergic to feathers. With no other options It was a very hot day but there was no outside to the pub to sit in the sun. Disappointing. Booking.com, this was very misleading on your description and ruined our weekend

Spotless throughout, no issues at all there.

Erm, if anything, struggled a little to park but we knew that before we arrived anyway, only a min walk away, not an issue.

Easy walking distance from the train station. Friendly staff, comfortable room and well equipped shared kitchen.
