Amazing stay at the old forge on Sark Island. From the beginning, the communication with the host was good, with some recommendations and advices before to even arrive. Even though I arrived a bit late, he was available and showed me around. Comfortable and stylish room, amazing views from the lounge and the kitchen. Great self service breakfast with lots of options. Very quiet area. Definitely a charming stay

This is a great little B and B and a lovely way to enjoy Sark. We stayed in a 3 bedroom annexe: this is a beautiful house of modern design but made from traditional materials. All rooms have their own toilets so you get more privacy than in your average B and B. For breakfast you get (almost) free access to a kitchen with all the necessaries to make your own breakfast: we did not miss the traditional 'full English' breakfast , and, crucially, you can make yourself a snack on a Sunday night when there may not be many places to eat in little old Sark. You can pop next door for a cup of tea or even make your own chocolates (one reason we need to come back!). The Old Forge is situated just before the causeway between 'Little' Sark and only-slightly-bigger Sark. This makes it a quiet spot, even by Sark standards, and you have magnificent views of the sea on 3 sides. There is no Uber on Sark (!), and getting to the Old Forge on foot took a little longer than we expected. Next time we would definitely leave *all* our luggage to be transported from the quay (there's a tractor that does this for £2.50 an item - Caragh will help you settle up and arrange the return), and we would consider hiring bikes as soon as landing on Sark (hire shops at top of hill from harbour).

The only niggle is that walls and ceilings are a little thin, so we heard a lot of our neighbours. The Old Forge is available to rent out as one unit for a group, this would be ideal to my mind.

If i were to be extremely picky, It would have been nice to have had the option of a croissant or a pastry at breakfast - but just a suggestion

Literie plutôt molle (mais il en faut pour tous les goûts) et bâtiment plutôt sonore intérieurement

La vue! La propreté, la chambre spacieuse, les espaces communs très fonctionnels et accueillants (cuisine, salon avec jeux, …)

A beautifully presented house with free run of the lounge, grounds and kitchen. Self-serve breakfast and use of the fridge for own food was so wonderfully accommodating. Friendly and helpful people who dropped round for anything I needed.

A travel kettle in the room would have let me be a bit lazy in the mornings - also would have saved their teabags as I kept forgetting to take mine to the kitchen!

Lovely stay and the included continental breakfast was lovely, particularly the home made granola. Easy check in and everything on Sark is quite relaxed. It is a fair walk from the ferry (especially if like us you walk all the way) but very manageable provided you have the tractor take any large bags, which we did. If you are there outside summer hours pack a head torch to walk back from the restaurants as it is very dark with no streetlights. Location wise it is remote which we wanted, but be aware otherwise to rent a bicycle or be prepared for the 20-25 minutes each way to get to dinner etc. No toiletries officially provided but previous guests seem to leave theirs in a lot of cases so some items are available.

Nothing - it is in a rural setting so expect some flies and creepy crawlies but the place itself is kept very clean.
