Montys Accommodation

It was in walking distance of our sons where we were spending Christmas Day. It was at the top of a number of stairs but it wasn’t too difficult, the room itself was excellent, roomy and had everything we wanted. We would like to thank Vicky who was very accommodating during a difficult time where due to illness we weren’t sure if we were going to make it, many thanks for your considerations.

The only difficult thing I should mention is be careful when approaching the lane you need to go down, it is extremely tight and you need to have your wits about you,

The room was right in the centre of Lewes with a reserved car parking space (we were self driving). The entire property was furnished to a very high standard, with modern shower room and a free standing Victorian style bath. Bed very comfortable and they had complimentary tea/coffee. Very convenient for the station as well as we went to watch Brighton play football which is one stop away on the train. All in all, excellent throughout.

Lovely furniture, very comfy bed with the most amazing bed linen. Beautiful bookshelf of wonderful art books!

The location was good walkable from the station and near shops and restaurants. Spacious rooms, comfortable bed and good communication with owner

No information on how to control central heating but did work out it via green button in lobby TV in sitting room on the small size as settee opposite end of room. Settee not that comfortable as not a full length back

A perfect two night stay in a lovely large room. We explored the town and attended a wedding. Thank you for the little extras in the fridge too :)

A pity that we couldn't stay longer!

Vicki welcomed us and gave a good tour of the facilities. Milk and fresh orange juice awaited us in the fridge. We had the whole of the basement and I'm not sure if that is always the case as there were more facilities than I expected like a washing machine and dishwasher. However the dishwasher was no use as there were only 2 of anything so you had to wash up anyway. The shower was great with a nice control, great bath products. We didn't go into the courtyard as the weather was rather dull. Good internet but no phone reception on my esim. Great location with a mainly flat walk from the station and there was a bus stop just outside. Fabulous bakery a few doors away which was open on a Sunday. Close to everything, right off the high street but very quiet. Vicki was very obliging offering to give us a lift across Lewes We were able to leave our cases on the day we booked out as we had time to kill before we could access our next destination.

A couple of small things. The TV was in the bedroom and not the living room where there was a screen if you wanted to stream anything. The couch really only sat one as the back only went half way along, it was very uncomfortable

This is such a lovely place to stay. Vicky makes every effort to make you comfortable and make sure you feel at home. The apartment is very comfortable and has everything you need. The bed is especially comfy, which is always great when you are away from home. My husband liked the ingenuity of the easel in the bedroom to hold the telly so much he immediately looked up buying an easel and I think is planning to get one! The appartment feels luxurious, with lovely toiletries. We would highly recommend a stay here if you are looking for somewhere in Lewes or fancy exploring the area.

We loved the property, I would just say the parking space is down a very narrow alleyway, I was not sure I would get my car through at first but when I saw someone else do it I went for it and it was fine. But if you have a big car it’s just worth knowing that in advance.
