Altes französisches Hotel im Kolonialstil mit schönen Innenhof. Freundliches Personal. Sehr grosse Zimmer mit vielen Fenstern die wir leider kaum öffnen konnten da direkt an der Strasse und auch von dieser einsehbar.

Die Zimmer müssten wieder einmal überholt werden. Preis Leistung eher an der oberen Grenze.

The courtyard garden was nice and the hotel had a faded colonial style charm.

The hotel had building sites on 2 sides, directly on the.hotel boundaries, with building work happening. The 1st night, every 5 minutes or so there was a grinding/whirring noise, from an air vent or similar. The 2nd night, there was a disgusting foul smell coming up the drains, so bad I had to move rooms. Breakfast was poor. This hotel once would have been lovely, currently it's run down and very over priced. For the same money, you can get much better accomodation in the same area.

Villa Helena was such a good find. It has that effortless, slightly faded French charm that Pondicherry does so well. The biggest thing for me was how easy everything felt. The staff were lovely, and nothing ever felt like a hassle. It just had a really relaxed, welcoming vibe the whole time we were there. The room was well decorated, spacious and simple in a good way – not fussy, just nicely done with an antique style. After wandering around White Town in the heat, it was exactly what you wanted to come back to. The AC was powerful. Just what we needed!

Bon emplacement

Service du petit-déjeuner très mal organisé. Aucune anticipation. Personnel peu intéressé par le client mais plus par le téléphone portable. Absence de la direction ? La villa aurait besoin d'une sérieuse rénovation et d'un personnel plus investi. C'est dommage car l'endroit pourrait être très agréable.
