Jeakes House

The location was great. In the middle of the town. Rooms were clean and well furnished. Breakfast was stunning.

Our TV did not have Internet connection, however we did not inform the staff as we were only staying for one night.

We has the Apothecary Room and the inglenook fireplace in it was amazing. The furnishings were gorgeous, the facilities excellent and the location couldn't be better, actually on Mermaid Street not far from the Mermaid Inn. The staff were excellent, couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was well cooked and good quality.

Nothing! If there was one suggestion to make it would be to offer more in the way of cold breakfast options for those who don't fancy a cooked breakfast, maybe continental offerings?

Excellent choice at breakfast...breakfast bar with assorted cereals, fruits etc. and cooked breakfast made to order...veggie, fish and full carnivore options available.

The WiFi was not working on our arrival and, although the staff did their best to fix it promptly... it was patchy throughout the stay. Fortunately we were not dependent upon it.

A beautiful, quirky hotel. Clean and elegant.

Unfortunately the TV didn't work. Had we been staying more than one night, we would've requested that it be fixed. I'm sure staff would've sorted it for us.

Breakfast - excellent - home made granola, plum compote - great hot selection served at table - smoked salmon, hollandaise sauce, poached eggs, toasted muffins - superb

Bathroom decor was a little dated - but the whole place is immaculate, comfortable.
