"This was not our first experience of Jeakes House and it probably won't be our last."

THE BREAKFAST WAS FIRST CLASS AND WE ENJOYED IT IN SUCH CONVIVIAL SURROUNDINGS.

The parking of our car a walk away was a drag although cheap enough at £3 per night.

"Very characterful house, with great service and breakfast, but maintenance needs improving."

Breakfast, dining room and service top notch. Room reasonable size, same with ensuite, all clean.

One window v.difficult to open, other stuck fast and catch hanging off.

Room was small but perfectly formed - as they say! Refurbished recently to a high standard - bed comfortable and plenty of storage for clothes etc. Breakfast was excellent each day, with plenty of choice

Very clean, very good choice on breakfast menu, lovely comfortable bed.

Not so keen on the decor, some of the modernisation feels like it erases the identity of the historic building a bit, but that is just an opinion. Overall, a very nice and comfortable place to stay.

The location (in historic Mermaid Street) and building are great. The breakfasts were fantastic, with a wide choice, all freshly cooked and delicious!

Hard to improve on Jeake's House- a quirky, characterful place. Bit of a clamber up narrow stairs to the bedroom- but worth it!
