The Mays Place Bed and Breakfast

Stacy is a wonderful host -- engaging without being instrusive. Her breakfasts (which are extra) are huge and delicious.

We were lucky to get the one room with a private bath, the downstairs King room. I'm just downgrading "Comfort" as an alert to others who might want to make sure they aren't sharing.

Enjoyed learning about the history of this property, which the owner has taken great care to save and share, the massage chair was a treat (post Cycle Oregon bike ride), and it was quiet and close to Mountain Women coffee! Lovely host. We’d stay again.

Room was clean. We had a problem getting in but Stacy the owner rectified it. Stacy was pleasant and helped with some travel advice.

Only one bathroom on ground floor is shared by almost all the guests. Even guests in upstairs bedrooms must take steep stairs down to bathroom. Bathroom has shower over clawfoot tub: without a grab bar, it’s hazardous to get into & out of. Dark furnishings & poor lighting in bedroom. Also the window blind was inoperable. So much bulky furniture cluttering every room nearly makes it an obstacle course to find your way around at night. Bedroom facing the street is noisy: lots of truck traffic.

Very nice BnB in a historic house. If you want to stay at a place with history built into its bones, Mays Place is it.

Amazing place! Immaculate inn filled with beautiful antiques and a warm, available hostess that will fill you in on the history of the inn and the area. Don't forget to check out the crazy massage chair! Definitely an experience and available right in the parlor! Please opt for breakfast in the morning. So leisurely to wake up and be greeted by the smell of coffee and the sound of breakfast sizzling in the kitchen. We will be back!!

Can't think of a thing!

Lovely old Victorian well maintained. Clean. Comfortable bed. Use of kitchen for coffee & tea & microwave is helpful. Interesting antique nicknacks (those not in cabinets should be housed in a separate display building).

Clutter, everywhere, on just about every available surface. This house is a storage area for an avid antique collector. All well and good except not very nice for living in the space. Clear out the clutter, add some more kitchen lighting, and it would be a 10/10. It is also a little creepy to have cameras in the common spaces. I understand why they are there since there is no manager on site but it isn’t very nice. Dangerous old gas stove allows you to release gas without a flame. Someone is going to blow up themselves and the house one of these days. Google lists ‘free breakfast’ but it is $15 pp for breakfast if you want it.

Stacey was a wonderful hostess. Communication was great, place was clean & beautiful. Was a wonderful stay.
