Little Ship Inn Rooms

The room I stayed in was in the annex and was spotless. I’m a big guy 6foot 4 and 18 stone and the room I chose had a double bed but it fitted me perfectly and was really comfortable

Everything! This is a lovely old pub down by the coast, in a quiet street. Excellent value for money, compared to other places in the area. Most importantly delightful, exceptionally helpful owner and staff, very flexible and accommodating, went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Even though it was a quiet moment, they opened up their entire ( and excellent) breakfast service, so many options - good coffee, herbal tea, croissants, eggs, full Scottish…even oat milk! Very comfortable bed, good bathroom, and so quiet. Easy to find, easy to park. Hope to come back!

We had a cooked breakfast in the main building, approx 100 meters from the rooms annex. Breakfast was really good with a warm and friendly welcome from our chef. The previous evening, we had a good dinner in the main bar. Food was tasty with a good choice available. The young staff were friendly, helpful and attentive too. Sadly we learned the restaurant may close soon. I hope this is not the case and it can remain open....

Our room was number 4: The shower was good, though there was nowhere just outside to hang towel or clothes. BEWARE as the hot water is very hot and could scald if not careful... There is a damp musty smell in the bathroom as the extractor fan was not working - if it was it would fix the issue. The mattress was very soft and we rolled into the central groove - not the best for a good sleep! The light on the bedside locker (nightstand) could not be plugged in or used as the nearest socket was at the opposite end of the room. Sadly, reading other reviews these are longstanding issues that have not been addressed.
