Villa Merdu Ubud

-SUPER clean, no bugs in the room, just keep doors closed - outdoor bathroom felt so luxurious -affordable -great staff -owner was just so kind and courteous -incredibly comfortable -beautiful living spaces -picturesque infinity pool (also beautifully maintained and clean) This is Theeee spot, we got a scooter n took it wherever we needed to go. Also Grab operated just fine here. There are restaurants nearby (we went to Bali Funtastic about 4 times for arak pitchers, shisha and food). I’d 100000% book again. Evan was courteous enough to arrange our scooter rental and atv tour. He made sure we were comfortable and taken care of. His partner Hannah and his parents who were visiting were also such a delight. Evan also had breakfast arranged for us. Unfortunately I don’t remember her name but she made a really nice fluffy omelette 😀I’m so happy we chose to stay here as a part of our month long journey. Definitely my favourite booking in Bali

Staff was friendly and helpful cooked for us what we wanted. One thing that was really great for me - most comfortable mattresses in all of Bali. I need to find out what brand they were. Villa was quite and EVERYTHING worked. Close to town but not too close. Highly recommend!

The location, it was very clean, the room space, exterior bathroom. The owner (Evan) is the nicest person and he helped us a lot during our 1 week stay in Ubud with many advices and scooter rental directly in parking lot.

Great host and staff, super friendly. Cool jungle experience so plenty of geckos and we had a frog who seemed to live in the bathroom

Could do with an update/modernising, looking a little tired. Location isn’t super central takes about 15/20 mins in a cab to get to the centre but if you’re after a quiet stay this would be ideal. With it being advertised as a honeymoon villa I thought it would included some special little touches or extras but unfortunately there wasn’t anything.

Very peaceful and lovely location in the nature. The pool is amazing! Very good service by the owner.

We couldn't use the hot tob since it run out of hot water when filling it, that was a bit disappointing.

The villa was very clean with a great view over the pool.

The whole property was beautiful. The room was spacious, complete, and extremely comfortable. Location was enough away from the city center to feel like a tranquil escape but close enough to remain accessible. Host and staff were extremely accommodating.

Quiet location, but shops, laundry and some great restaurants are available with a short drive. The owner is super nice and helpful. The villa itself is superb, huge bathroom and bedroom, amazing shared living room, kitchen, lounge and pool area. Evertyhing is clean and modern. The surroundings are also amazing. We’ll definitely be back!

We loved everything, although a bit variety for breakfast would be great.

It was love from the first sight. The place is magical, once I was in I didn’t want to leave. It has this rare energy that one doesn’t need to get used to and immediately feels home. My highlights were: lounge area great for meditation and watching the sunrise 🧘‍♀️, cleanliness🫧, absolute absence of smells which is a common issue in Bali due to humidity, the view into the jungle 🌴, delicious breakfast, peaceful yet powerful yoga lessons with Hanna, nicest staff and owners and of course the other guests this place attracts.

I didn’t like the fact that I had to leave 😅
