Beds rather too firm for us

It was clean hotel, and lovely guests. However, with a small child being far from food areas a little difficult. Had to get a tuk tuk to get food. With little child they need to be fed continuous.

Had such a lovely experience here The hotel is like a home from home I’ve had wonderful Ayurvedic treatments from Ragini , super breakfasts cooked by Omana and super service from Adul too The pool is beautiful under the palm trees and is filled with filtered water from their well all powered by their solar panels Murigan, the hotel owner is just great- as a lone traveller in my sixties felt really safe in his hands- nothing is too much trouble for him to arrange and he has a great sense of humour Came away so relaxed from my stay at this little oasis by the lake, just a Tuk Tuk ride away from Kovalum beach, the most lively and cosmopolitan seaside resort I’ve ever visited in India. Shops , bars and restaurants make this the easiest beach for and Europeans to visit .

Loved the quiet location. The room with the balcony. The helpfulness of hosts with transport. The lovely ayurvedic massage on site. Walks near the lake. Everybody v helpful.

Clean spacious room, the most quiet air conditioning I have ever had so I slept very well. Lovely swimming pool. Peaceful location, although on flight path into airport

The food was extremely bland. Can recommend however if you don't like spicy food.

Peaceful location, good pool and staff.Had great walks around the lake and a good massage.The road to Kovalam was awful and lack of any other local food was a drawback. The room was large and clean although the bed was too firm and could do with coffee and tea making facilities in the room. Although I had a balcony with good lake views, this was not attached to the room but accessed via a common room .Did enjoy my stay and would return

Amazing location, surrounded by wildlife a huge lake and the Tranquility of a quiet backwater and a rural Indian neighbourhood. To be able to watch the fishermen and farmers going about their daily tasks, and the quiet of the location was a winner. The in-house Ayurvedic female massage practitioner was one of the best I have ever had, amazing. The swimming pool was a lovely added bonus and complete relaxation was exactly what this place does best. Super clean and had no problem with mosquitoes. I would most certainly recommend this and may return myself.

The property is reached by a very bad road. There are many holes in it as these local roads are supposed to be maintained by the water authorities, and they do not do any work on it. The trip to Kovalam beach, Lighthouse beach et cetera is always a bit of a trial as you are bumped along it every time you need to go out for anything. I would say it’s worth the effort as the location is so tranquil and away from the madness that is now. Sadly, Kovalem beach.

My family and I stayed four nights here, over new year, and found it comfortable and relaxing. We purposely chose somewhere away from the noise of town, but convenient enough to get there. A tuk tuk is about 200 rupees to the town/beach (300, coming back after 10:00pm). My children shared an upstairs room. My girlfriend and I had a ground floor room but the mattresses downstairs are much firmer (fine for me but my girlfriend couldn’t sleep), so we were moved upstairs after our first night. The pool is lovely, the location is relaxing and tranquil and breakfast on the roof terrace, overlooking beautiful scenery is a lovely way to start the day. I had a plate of fruit and a masala dosa each morning. The owner, Murugan, is quite a character: welcoming, helpful, and will do his best to address any issues you might have.

Mattresses in ground floor rooms are quite hard. Location is a little difficult to find, along some windy lanes. Some tuk tuk drivers in town are unfamiliar with address/directions.

The pool was OK early morning but no shade later in the day. Apart from breakfast, which was not great, there was no restaurant. The nearest restaurants were in Kovalam, which wS a very uncomfortable tuk tuk ride.
