I highly recommend Ganesh Ayurveda Holiday Home in Kovalam. The room was large and comfortable, with a fridge, kettle and filtered water, and the views from my room patio were spectacular, onto the pool and garden, and beyond to the lake and wetlands. It was so relaxing to sit there and read or watch the many birds flying by. The team truly went out of their way to make my stay special and I’d like to thank them all again for their generosity. In particular Dr Renjith took excellent care of me, recommending the best Ayurvedic treatment and medicine to heal my chest infection. The masseuse, Kala, is highly skilled and very sweet, and the cook, Omana, makes delicious Ayurvedic meals. Amruta, who takes care of the grounds, went above and beyond, and finally the owner Murugan goes out of his way to make guests feel welcome. I look forward to staying longer next time, hopefully for a Panchakarma treatment.

The guesthouse is located in a very peaceful rural setting close to a lake, ideal for people who like walking. The swimming pool was great. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful.

The guest house is located directly under a flight path for planes landing at Trivandrum airport and most of the planes fly during the night, on some nights, one plane every half an hour. It really ruined our stay there as we couldn't get any sleep.

My friend and I were made to feel very welcome. Murugam was attentive and keen to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Thank you for the pot of masala chai when we arrived and complimentary water. The accommodation was just what we were looking for, in a peaceful location by the lake. Be sure to take an early morning walk for the sunrise. The pool was clean and a real bonus. breakfast was plentiful - fresh juice, tea/coffee, fresh fruit platter, eggs (choice of omelette or boiled) and toast. We found out too late that we could have had Indian breakfasts if requested in advance - our fault for not asking! It was nice having a range of Ayurvedic treatments available too. The Doctor was lovely.

We were disappointed that no lunch or dinner was available to order, necessitating the need for a rickshaw back to Kovalam itself where we had just stayed for two weeks.

Amazing host Mulagaga treated us very well, very friendly and approachable. We had ayurvedic treatments and a free doctors consultation before the treatments. The treatments were the best we had in Kerala comparing with 2 other places. Also fairly priced, had a pool and beautiful at sunrise and sunset with the lake close by 😍. Food was also nice here. Breakfast was good and nice view fr the rooftop Perhaps better for 7+ day stays to make the most of the ayurveda and have a proper consultation and treatment.

Further from Kovalam beach, but we liked this part if you want to go there be better to stay closer or rent a scooter perhaps.

The property is well taken care of and is located next to a beautiful lake. The continental breakfast was delicious and bottled water was complimentary. It has a nice court-yard with a pool to relax in the sun/shade. The manager organizes auto pick-ups when asked to and is very helpful to satisfy your needs. Don’t miss to walk to or even around the lake until the morning - great view and lighting. All in all a calm and relaxing place!

The only disturbance is the plane passing by and the early morning prayer nearby, which you get used to.
