Excellent location for walking Great food and friendly staff

Owners could not have done anymore, she was extremely friendly to all guests, nothing was too much trouble. Very dog friendly allowed in all areas of the inn. Brilliant breakfast catering for all needs, as I am vegan I had a good choice of for the hot breakfast. A simple but decent pub food menu, good pitstop before carrying on to our other destination

Though the owners work extremely hard on the day to day running of the place, the building & grounds need majorly updating which they appear to be in the process of doing, and appear to be doing all the work themselves, so the first impression of the overall look of the place isn't initially a good one. However, the owners are working tirelessly to accommodate all their patrons. There was a 'Spiritual' evening going on in the other side of the pub & whilst booked in for dinner on our first evening we were encouraged to whisper/silent until the meeting's breaks. I feel that they should either be open for business on the remaining part of the pub or closed, asking patrons to be virtually silent did not seem appropriate. The room wasn't totally clean, the carpet didn't appear to be hoovered, & the bathroom needed dusting. There was the powerful smell of weed coming from upstairs on our second evening. I did think smoking of any kind was not permitted indoors. The music from downstairs seemed quite loud but I think that it is only due to Room 4 being directly above their TV/sound system. If the owners can iron out some the basic issues I believe the rest will follow, they are incredibly amiable people and deserve to succeed

Excellent cooked bfast. Could improve with offer of marmalade/jams, but no reflection on warm welcome from hosts.

charming old building set in beautiful countryside . Hosts were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful.

It was all good. The new owners are in the process of sympathetically restoring this historical building.

Lovely traditional pub B&B in a great rural location

Incredibly relaxed and comfortable! A real home from home. We booked a very last minute 2 night stay and felt instantly welcome, even with a big bouncy dog. Hosts truly went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. The owners have great plans for this magical place and we can’t wait to go back next year and see how the place has come along!
