Glenwood Akaroa Bush Retreat - Totara Hut

If you have to have internet and a TV just to survive this is not the place for you. If, however, you want an idyllic bush retreat close to town with no distraction from e devices this is pure heaven. We checked in, headed to town, bought a couple of steaks and a bottle of wine, and enjoyed our dinner on the porch. Having an almost brand new weber barbecue to cook on was a bonus. Comfortable bed, great sunset.

Breakfast was great, smoothies were an added extra. Location is awesome. Facilities were tidy, well maintained and a pleasure to use.

My only suggestion would be a coffee pod machine but I wouldn't not stay because it didn't have one.

Beautiful view, good breakfast selection

We really liked everything about this place. The view, comfy beds and the amenities are well prepared. It’s easy to get to and plenty of walking tracks around the area especially the waterfall hike was a great activity to do.

Location and view was amazing. Was clean and cozy and very well stocked.

Nothing i didnt like but an outdoor bath would make it perfect.

Great view of Akaroa harbor. Comfortable accommodation. Fantastic continental breakfast, lots of choices and plenty of food. We enjoyed the walking trails on the property. Would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a relaxing break away in a private setting with great views. Extremely clean and tidy.

Location, well appointed quiet.Access to private tracks and also connected to other trails.

The hut is up high on a mountain with views to the sea. We had the local geese and sheep pass by during the afternoon. There are lovely walks well marked to follow. In the evening it was very quiet.
