Il Sasso e la Seta

The apartment was spacious, comfortable, beautiful, and full of personality. The view was extraordinary. The best view of the town and absolutely magical. The breakfast which was delivered to our little patio was plentiful and delicious. Our host Luciana lives downstairs and she treated us like old friends. She met us at the taxi so we could find the place easily. She provided a map and showed us all the highlights. She provided fantastic restaurant recommendations and even called to make reservations. She was extremely responsive when we needed her help which we did at the end of our stay. When we discovered that our prepaid car rental let us down we were in a panic as to how to get to our next destination. We found there was a train in 20 minutes. Luciana drove us herself to the station! By far, this was our most memorable stay in our two week itinerary.

Die Unterkunft ist einfach top!!! Traumhaft mitten in Sassi gelegen. In einer Stadt, wo man soviel empfindet, wie kaum woanders. Alles an der Unterkunft ist sehr gut! Das italienische Frühstück super. On top dann noch Massimo als Gastgeber. Er ist freundlich, empathisch, zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit und und und. Wir waren zwei sehr intensive Tage in Sassi. Massimo hat uns eine (private) Stadtführung organisiert. Diese ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir hatten einen großartigen Aufenthalt in Matera! Luciana und Massimo waren sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und haben uns mit allen Tipps versorgt. Die tolle Lage, das Zimmer und das Frühstück waren hervorragend! Danke!

First of all, the location is fantastic! Luciana and Massimo are incredibly kind and wonderful hosts. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and taking such good care of us during our stay. The breakfast was great, and the view right in front of the house is amazing!!

Ci siamo trovati benissimo al Sasso e la Seta, e soprattutto con la signora Luciana, ricca di preziosi consigli per apprezzare la sua Maratea al massimo. La vista dalle finestre è suggestiva, sia di giorno che di notte, potendo ammirare gran parte del Sasso Caveoso. La posizione è strategica, facile da raggiungere ed a due passi da una delle strade principali. Nota di apprezzamento per il terrazzino su cui ci veniva servita ogni mattina una colazione ricca e variegata, e per il gusto con cui sono stati arredati la stanza ed il bagno.
