The Edgeworth

Everything was simply perfect. So far the best place I have stayed at. The property and the rooms are so beautifully decorated. Anything you could need was available and if not, they made sure we got it. The staff and the chef are polite and always helpful. We were welcomed with a warm delicious cup of tea on arrival and everything from there on was truly an amazing experience. Food was delicious. Cleanliness was impeccable. The property is located very ideally. Nestled away from the crowds yet only a 10 minutes walk to the mall road.

What a beautiful place! Perfectly located a bit off the busy track of Shimla, quiet and peaceful. Fantastic food, the service couldn’t be better in a 5-star. Also try the restaurant at the MALL, which is connected!

Not a complain, just a suggestion from a lover of heritage hotels: The „breakfast/lunch/dinner room“ doesn’t fit at all to the overall lovely atmosphere. And to have it outside in the (very nice) garden - it was to cold beginning of Oct.

A lovely old home with great shower and complimentary good quality soaps etc/fabulously comfy bed and wonderful homecooked but exceptional food.We would recommend this house to anyone who loves history and a beautiful garden to enjoy while having your meals.The walk to the Mall is very pleasant and easy and Shimla is such a clean smokefree environment with some fantastic shops.Grab some pashminas for a bargain and some delicious local fruit.You will definitely enjoy staying at Edgeworth as it is very serene and olde worldy.The staff are so attentive they make your stay enjoyable.It's a great place to relax and unwind.

Everything was great.

Truly a home away from home! Yes, that's how I felt when I reached the Edgeworth. We were so warmly welcomed by the hostess, Mrs. Ruchi Bhasin with a warm cup of Kahwa tea. Since my booking, Shivansh Bhasin (Mrs. Bhasin's son) had already kept in touch with me via Whatsapp, so we felt comfortable and at ease as soon as we arrived at their beautiful home. The home has been converted into a "home stay" on the ground floor. The rooms were spacious, tastefully done, and kept very clean. I particularly liked a separate changing room adjacent to the bathroom which was a nice touch! You have privacy in your room, and the staff is just a call away. Their staff is also very polite and respectful to the guests. The cook was amazing and we loved every preparation of his, including the amazing dals we ordered every night! You can also order food from their restaurant, Amaaya which is located on the Mall road and it's delivered to your room. We had different kinds of breakfast each day and every item was delicious. We enjoyed our breakfast in their beautifully landscaped garden with colorful flowers amidst a view of the Himalayan mountains. While the location is not on the Mall road, it's still a walking distance away. If you are traveling with elderly folks (as I did with my mom and dad), it was not difficult at all for them since we had hired a private car who would pick us from the doorsteps and bring us back to the same spot. A little something that I would like to add is that I was born in Shimla in 1971 and my parents had moved to Delhi when I was just a toddler, so this was a very memorable trip going back to my birth town after so many years! I couldn't have chosen a better place than Edgeworth where I felt love and warmth all around me. The location, the beauty, the serenity of the surroundings, and the immaculate hospitality were the perfect ingredients to recharge my soul and body. An A+ resort!!

Awesome location, amazing food, good room and facilities. Very cordial staff. Mr Ravi Kumar was very helpful.. Room is well maintained and clean.

A window or a fan in the room would help

Great location in peaceful part of town 15 minute walk on an quiet road to the bustling part of Mall road. Super room with the most comfortable bed with crisp bed linen, great spotless modern bathroom with fantastic shower and wonderful toiletries. Great garden area for relaxing, reading a book and having breakfast. Excellent helpful staff with a special mention to Ravi for assisting with a few things. Good communication with the owner who helped organise a taxi.

Nothing we didn’t like it was brilliant!

The stay was perfect. A short walk from Mall Road. I was travelling with my 1.5 year old kid and the staff took great care of us.
