Rivendell Guest House

We loved everything! Perfect location to explore St. Ives, really clean and cozy room, freshly prepared breakfast... Tracy as host in general. We had nothing to complain and would love to go back.

As written before our room was also a bit small but totally manageable and with the view onto the sea still worth it.

The host was excellent as was the breakfast

We were in room 4 which was very compact. I’m only 5’3” but kept bagging my head on the roof slopes. Our biggest gripe were the towels. Although very clean and white they were also very rough. Could do with a few minutes in tumble drier to soften.

Good location. host is very nice. We had amazing breakfast.

We had a great stay at Rivendell, the bed was super comfortable, and we had a lovely bay window with 2 chairs overlooking the street which was an unexpected bonus. Breakfast is great, with several choices and really efficiently organised.

It is a little uphill walk back to the accomodation from the harbour area but we usually enjoyed an ice cream on the walk up. The only thing that would make the rooms better is a little bar fridge to chill our water bottles and allow us to keep proper milk for our teas.

Perfect location to explore St Ives on foot and the parking space is a plus. Lovely host

Nothing to dislike

Tracey was brilliant, the room decor was beautiful, and absolutely spotless. Breakfast was yummy and faultless. Would highly recommend!

Couldn't fault it in anyway.

Great location, lovely freshly cooked breakfast, room was spotless, and Tracy was very helpful and friendly. Always wary of staycations as the weather is always a risk but we were extremely lucky with the weather and the timing of our visit as it was busy enough but not so much you couldn't get an outside seat in the bars or restaurants to enjoy the sunshine. Enjoyed our stay very much.

St Ives is built on a hillside so no surprise that the guesthouse is up a hill which, after a meal and a few drinks, wasn't a walk we looked forward to but taking it slow and steady it was fine and wouldn't put me off staying here again.
