Very nice Experience! Amazing view, very welcoming Host, Quiet location

Ambiente muy familiar. Elisabete y su madre muy atentas para que estés a gusto en su casa. Desayuno muy completo y hecho con cariño.

Não é um hotel. É uma casa de família, onde nos sentimos acolhidos como se estivéssemos a visitar um amigo. Um excelente experiência para vivenciar o Douro de forma mais intimista. As vistas são deslumbrantes. Um local de muita tranquilidade, para descansar.

we recently stayed at this beautiful and cozy place, and overall it was perfect — a lovely view, and Elisabete was so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was amazing, and even though we shared last-minute that we’re vegan, she accommodated us wonderfully. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough!

The house is quite old, so if you’re sensitive to noise, you might hear movement inside the home, even at night.

A localização além de linda é mesmo central. O pequeno-almoço era ótimo. A Elizabete e D. Manuela sempre prontas ajustar a estadia ao gosto das pessoas. E, por último, a piscina foi sem dúvida acima das expectativas!

Gostamos muito da simpatia e simplicidade da Sra. D. Elizabete e da forma calorosa com que nos recebeu e nos fez sentir em casa.

Location, breakfast, pool, and owner were excellent! We wished we could stay longer and enjoy the house and grounds more! We also took the wine tasting and that was lovely as well! We will be booking here when we return to the Douro Valley! We followed Elisabete's recommendations to beat the heat (visit Pinhao in the morning, Lamego in the afternoon for a slightly cooler locale).

The bedrooms didn't have A/C (which is only an issue during unpredictable heat waves), but the owner is working to install it as soon as she can without disruptions to currently booked guests (check with the owner for updates). Overall, it was a minor inconvenience for us and will not deter us from returning (with or without A/C). This place is that good!

Elisabete was an incredible host. During our whole stay, my boyfriend and I felt so welcomed and taken care of. It was obvious her heart was truly in it. She always went out of her way for us, like when I woke up early and she made me a coffee before normal breakfast hours (the included breakfast is delicious, by the way). Beautiful house inside and out. The inside was well maintained and had all the modern appliances you would want, while still maintaining the rustic aesthetic of the house. The interior was also very stylishly decorated, with art on the walls, family photos, colourful trinkets and small touches that really make the place special. The view was amazing from anywhere outside. Think rose bushes and plum trees all over. The pool was especially great and has a fantastic sunset view over the mountains. We felt so safe and relaxed here. It felt like having a serene little corner of the world all to ourselves. It is really so special. I cannot recommend staying here enough!
