Quinta do Fôjo

The breakfast was amazing! The fresh fruit and cheeses and homemade jams and bread and pastries were so delicious and beautifully presented. This place was magical and the host was outstanding! Loved everything about our stay. Only problem is that we should have stayed longer; 2 nights is not enough!

The setting is beautiful, the pool is perfect for the summer, and the breakfast provided was excellent. Above all else though, Elisabete made the whole experience wonderful. We had visited before for a wine tasting, wanted to return for a longer stay, and would absolutely love to return in the future!

Our stay at the Quinta was the highlight of our 10-day trip in Portugal. Elisabete is such a wonderful host and she really went out of her way to make the visit so special for us. The views in every direction of her quinta and the pool on the hilltop are simply stunning. We appreciated so much the breakfast she prepared with local produces. We will come back with no hesitation next time.

This place is a bed & breakfest, very personal and private run by the owner. It's a 200 year old family house and winery. If you are there, don't miss her wine tasting in the morning!

The location is superb and we felt very well taken care of. Elisabeth the owner makes everything with so much love you feel the difference.

We adored our experience at Quinta de Fôjo. Elisabeth was the perfect host, friendly, bubbly and extremely welcoming. She took us out for dinner with fellow guests and her husband, Manuel, to a local restaurant on the first night for a fun, cheap and delicious experience. We found time to bask in the beauty of the pool surrounded by the green of the hills. The breakfast was delightful, featuring fresh bread, local cheeses, homemade jams and baked goods from a local bakery. Elisabeth also conducts a tour of the winery with a tasting everyday for passing tour groups and we joined - her delivery of the tour was fantastic and her wines were unbelievable - don`t miss this! The Quinta is a dream, perfectly located and gave us a great base to explore the recommendations proposed by Elisabeth. This was a very special stay that we would recommend to anyone interested in an authentic and human experience in the Duoro.

We should have stayed longer. No other accomodation in our trip compared to this one. We struggled to find sunsets that matched those we saw kiss the vineyards from the view at Quinta de Fôjo.
