"Newnham White House, an absolute gem of a place"

We travelled to the area for a wedding. So glad we chose not to stay at a faceless chain hotel. We loved everything about this place, situated in a lovely quiet location. On arrival we were offered a free upgrade due to a cancellation. Our room had everything we needed, breakfast was freshly prepared to order and was generous and delicious. Cindy and Richard were fabulous hosts, very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. They even drove us to the wedding venue and wouldn't take any petrol money. Excellent service and value for money. Will definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.

Nothing to dislike, everything was great.

"Perfect quiet property with top class service, food and beverages."

Everything was more than expected. A beautiful plate of cakes and crumpets on arrival with a pot of tea. Free Wi-Fi. Impeccable rooms. A breakfast fit for a king or queen. Friendly landlady who was warm and personable. Outstanding.

Nothing to dislike. 🙂

Lovely place to stay, very quiet. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the owner (Cindy) is lovely couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely go again.

"A perfect place for a relaxing short stay and we will be returning."

Cindy and Richard were the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. A wonderful welcome with a cuppa and a slice of cake. The bedroom was really comfortable and, because the hotel is off the beaten track, it was sooo peaceful. The house was delightfully furnished and absolutely spotless. Unfortunately, we both put on weight because Cindy (or Richard) cooked enough for four of us for breakfast and made sure we wouldn’t go hungry for a week or so afterwards. Plenty of parking space for the car and, if we hadn’t been visiting for the express purpose of seeing family every day, there would have been plenty of nice walks in the area.

There was little mark on the ceiling in one of the rooms. Just kidding. There was absolutely nothing we could fault.
