I enjoyed the little extras in the room and, of course, the exceptional breakfast prepared to order.

Stunning location with amazing sunrise views over the surrounding countryside. Breakfast was the best and the owner went above and beyond to accommodate allergies and dietary requirements.

Personal preference so not really a moan but bed was too soft and as it was a double not a king-size it was too short for hubby who is over 6' tall. Lots of spiders in the bathroom but it is the countryside. House is directly on the main country road and people who were clearly familiar with said road used it like a racetrack so although in the countryside there was quite a lot of speeding traffic noise.

This was a delightful place to stay overnight - Cindy couldn't have been more accommodating. Breakfast was fabulous and I would highly recommend staying here if you need accomodation in this area.

Hmmm ... Nothing!!

The hosts..Cindy was so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The house was beautiful & clean, easy to find and park. The rooms were spacious and nicely appointed with comfy beds. The breakfast was exceptional and served in a gorgeous room with lovely crockery & cutlery. A really unique & special guest house

When the windows were open to air, unfortunately we did get a lot of flies and bugs in the rooms, but it is near sheep/countryside so this cannot be helped and we got them out easily enough. Otherwise all perfect

Everything from Cindy the host to the room itself and the breakfast was fabulous.

Our only minor annoyance was the fact that we had to kill 24 flies who were resident in our particular room. Even then by the morning, there were more. We do appreciate that the house is in the countryside and therefore flies could be more abundant than in a town, but even so......

What is not to like. A beautiful guest house in a lovely setting. Terrific hosts who go above and beyond to try and ensure your stay is as good as it gets. Spotlessly clean, with a warm, family feel. Our room had a very comfortable bed and a cosy sofa to use to watch tv. There is also a lounge available for guests to use. Breakfast was excellent and the host was very attentive. If you are visiting the area, this is the place to stay. We were in the region for a function and need to find a reason to return.

There is nothing to dislike about this fantastic b & b.

A lovely country house in a beautiful setting just a couple of miles from Ashwell ( a very easy drive and was handy as we were visiting friends there). The room was excellent - cosy, clean, spacious and well equipped with a very nice en suite. Cindy and Richard were very welcoming and the breakfast was enormous and delicious! Far nicer than staying in a featureless hotel!
