Tongariro Adventures

We stayed here recently for 3 days but wish it was longer We had the superior studio apartment which is separate from the house and very private Furnished to a very high standard and we had breakfast each day in the garden What really makes this place special is the owners Barb and Mike They are on hand if you need any info but also let you have utmost privacy if required We felt like we were staying with old friends The property is 2 mins from the lake where you walk/swim or just relax There are also kayaks Onsite you use We stayed here as were doing the Tongariro Alpine Crossing Hike and the owners have a shuttle service to the start and finish Barb also recommended and booked local restaurants for us which were ideal Would Highly Recommend

Un petit paradis niché dans un beau jardin à deux pas du lac et de ses plages. Le studio est spacieux, lumineux et très joliment décoré. L'accueil de Barb est merveilleux, alliant discrétion, bons conseils ( notamment pour les randonnées dans le parc de Tangarino) et une attention bienveillante. Le délicieux petit déjeuner est préparé avec soin .

Facilities were excellent and private. Beds were comfortable. Best accommodations of all of the places we stayed in NZ. The hosts made us feel welcome and were so helpful in providing travel tips and dinner recommendations. Lovely property.

The breakfast was great in the comfort of a clean and beautiful home! And the location was lovely, with stunning views and short walks and not far to drive to find activities that had good advice from the hosts.

Eigentlich nichts

Die Fotos suggerieren, dass es sich um eine Wohnung im Obergeschoss handelt, es ist allerdings die Dachterrasse der Vermieter. Zwei kleine Schlafzimmer und kaum Platz für Gepäck, die Raumaufteilung sehr komisch, das Spülbecken befindet sich im Badezimmer! Die Wohnung ist durch die Dachterrasse sehr dunkel und sehr kalt. Das Bootshaus kann durchaus die Bewertung verdienen, was wir nicht beurteilen können, die Doppelzimmer jedoch nicht!

Un endroit magique, exceptionnel où il fait bon vivre, le calme et la sérénité. La propreté des lieux, la qualité de l’hébergement, des hôtes exceptionnels, d’une gentillesse comme l’on ne trouve plus, accueillants et à l’écoute. Petit déjeuner copieux et délicieux.
