Tongariro Adventures

The hosts were great and the location close to the lake was ideal. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room to lay out our stuff. Parking was convenient and it was easy to get in/out. Breakfasts were nice and fresh. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Close access to the walking path at the edge of the lake was a plus.

It would have been nice to have a better place to eat breakfast indoors. The weather wasn’t quite right for eating it outside on the deck while we were there.

Barb & Mike are excellent hosts, very generous with their time. Barb made the logistics of the Tongaririo Crossing very straightforward for us. The breakfast is excellent. The property is very close to Lake Taupo. The apartment is welcoming, comfortable and clean.

It would have been nice to have more cooking facilities - a stove and a sink.

Host provided a very convenient shuttle service to the start of the Togariro trail. This allowed us to take our time for this wonderfull walk - our own car was waiting for us at the end of the trial . Great breakfast .

The boat house was beautiful and very clean, great little yard.

Loved our time with Barb and Mike. Would recommend it to others. Very good sized room and breakfast was great.

Very confortable place and such a nice welcome from Barb ! The hosts are making the place wonderful, always showing extra care.

Only a few steps from lake Taupo, very quiet and peaceful, decorated with taste, and with Barb & Mike as perfect hosts, we had a great time at Tongariro Adventures! Their suggestions for activities and places to eat were really valuable, and if you stay there and intend to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, you must book their wonderful shuttle service (“door to mountain”)! Thanks again for a lovely stay!
