"Perfect"

Perfect location for our stay which was a visit on the Pullman Dining Train. Perfect host who couldn't have more friendly & helpful. Would definitely recommend and would certainly stay again.

"Well-presented accommodation"

The property and the room were very well-presented. Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast choices. Lovely staff.

The room was a little cramped and I was tripping over my bags. Noisy plumbing - I was awoken in the night by other guests using the bathroom in the next room.

The breakfast was really good & served in an exquisite dinning room, it real was a beautiful setting, our room overlooking grosmont station was ideal The staff serving were extremely polite & helpful, we even tested out our limited Portuguese on Anne,

The room could have been a bit warmer when we arrived & we struggled a bit with the small shower, but for a short stay we managed & the heating did improve

We always find pre-ordering breakfast a bit awkward to do, but the breakfast quality here was excellent and I'm pretty sure they would have accommodated us if we had changed our minds! The building itself is intriguing with the amazing double-height dining room and beautiful decor everywhere. We also loved the view of the station and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway from our window - this was perfect!

There wasn't really anything to dislike. Grosmont House does its job perfectly. Signage from the 'main road' could be improved a bit - having turned into the unmade, single track Office Row, we were then lost to know where to go next... but a kind neighbour pointed us in the right direction! Two easy chairs in the bedroom would be nice rather than just one!

Excellent breakfast, good choice, plenty of it, which set us up for the day and the homemade bread was delicious.

We like to sleep with the window open in all weathers, unfortunately the old sash window didn’t open. That is just our preference and I’m sure wouldn’t bother a lot of people.
