Moana Haven B&B

The breakfast was excellent. Debbie and Dean provided first class hospitality when we arrived with a complementary glass of wine, kayaks to go out on on the sound, good views, and very well made rooms. I would recommend staying at the Moana Haven B&B to anyone traveling near the area. It is worth the extra travel! Hope to go back one day.

Debbie, the host, has worked really hard to make this place so welcoming and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, both in quality and range of goods. So lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was a delight and the views were amazing. Great place to stay, as it was not too far to either Havelock or the local pub for Dinner.

Cannot think of anything that I would like to add or change.

Loved everything

Perfect location, very peaceful. Accommodation stylish, bed very comfortable. Breakfast was superb. A range of freshly baked croissants, muffins and preserved fruit from the garden. So many thoughtful touches make a stay here hard to beat. Thank you.

The room was spacious and very comfortable, with luxurious bed linens and toiletries in the bathroom. The property is beautifully maintained, overlooking a lush garden and the Pelorus Sound. The view was incomparable and waking up with the bird songs and a sunrise over the Sound was an unforgettable experience. But what really sets Moana Haven apart from other exquisite accommodations is the hosts - Debbie and Dean. From Debbie’s homemade shortbread biscuits (the best in the world, if you ask me), to a complimentary glass of wine with cake and tasting Debbie’s homemade cheese, making the reservations for our dinners, and even hosing down my hubby after he fell and got stuck in the mud during our kayaking attempt. It felt more like visiting friends, than staying in a B&B. We couldn’t recommend staying at Debbie and Dean more! Plus, we loved their dog Nico :)

Everything! From the warm welcome to the attention to detail by leaving a lavender sprig on the hand towel, the yummy short bread biscuits and the homemade cheese and relish. Debbie and Dean go way beyond what is required from a host! We stayed in a number of B&B’s over our two week holiday, Mona Haven was by far the best we felt so welcome and nothing was too much effort.Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome!

Everything!! Debbie is the most amazing host, & makes so many treats including delicious lavender shortbread, homemade granola, crumble Fruit breakfast compotes, banana muffins, a glass of complimentary wine, Christmas cake & homemade cheese!

A fantastic location and great hosts. Surrounded by native birds and with the bay right in front of our window it is a paradise.

Great location & beautiful home. Gorgeous vista to wake up to. Easy to access havelock & areas to hike.
