"Charming area of Alkmaar with all amenities that we needed and breakfast was amazing."

It was in a very pretty part of town, but not very easy to get to with a car.

It was not made clear to us that we could not go in front of the hotel/restaurant to unpacked. We accidentally drove on lane that was only for pedestrian. Not clearly marked, not the host’s fault

"A blast from the past"

The hostess was very friendly, welcoming and helpful! The place is very cozy and well decorated. Fun theme. Location is awesome. Wolf and Bear (the cats) were very sweet and affectionate. The breakfast is a feast! I think Wolf noticed us having trouble finishing it all so he tried to get some bites in... All in all a very lovely place I'd wholeheartedly recommend.

It can get a bit noisy but it was within expectation. The bathroom smells slightly funky.

"SOEPP hotel"

The SOEPP hotel is located in the heart of Alkmaar, a brisk 20 minute walk from Alkmaar train station. The room is actually a mini apartment, situated on the first floor, adjacent to the restaurant. Access is via a set of very narrow wooden stairs, which would be an issue for someone who has mobility problems. The room was wonderful, with a host of amenities including a kitchen, lounge and a spacious bedroom. This is the second time that I have stayed at this accommodation and I will definitely be going back next year, if work permits.

I did not experience any problems during my stay in Alkmaar.

"Superb"

An amazing and unique place to stay with huge amounts of character. With a lovely courtyard and entry thru a beautiful lane. Amazingly close to bars and main square - awesome location. Lovely staff. And had a fantastic breakfast. Would recommend for something that isn't just a plain hotel.

Great place, enough space, not so suitable for handicapped people, you have to use stairs, but it wasn't our issue

A bit noisy street on Fridays and Saturdays, but nothing you might not handle

Nice room decoration. Reminded me of my childhood. Breakfast was superb. Staff was very accommodating and kept our luggage after check out so we could attend the cheese market

"Great few days"

We went for a blues festival, accommodation was very central and our overall experience was fantastic
