"we could not sleep due to noise..."

the room was clean & well equiped, the staff was friendly.

the room was extremely noisy. walls & floors are not sound proof, you can hear neighbours. the windows have single glass and our bedroom was in front of a kebab snack bar which stayed open til 5am. It was so noisy that we could not sleep at all... This was on a saturday night, maybe the experience on a week day is better...

"Vintage heaven!"

We loved the vintage decor and the warm welcome. The breakfasts were superb and the location is perfect for exploring the North Holland by train, bike or car.

Being right in the heart of the old city means it can be a little noisy. But that didn't bother us at all.

We booked the blue room on 2 separate occasions while traveling Europe, and we are so glad we did. After 8 days away between visits it felt like coming home when we returned to Alkmaar. We felt welcome, comfortable, clean and safe. Would highly recommend.

"Amazing location and a fun place to stay!"

Amazing location, couldn't have been better. Room decor was fun and what I expected. Large apartment with everything we needed, and the outdoor terrace was a great space. Huge breakfast. Sophie was very helpful and all the girls were lovely.

The only downfall is the steep stairs to get into the apartment but we expected this and by the end of our trip they were easy to navigate.

Great location, spacious, very comfortable, minor maintenance issues which were promptly dealt with, super nice staff, wonderful breakfast. would be great for a whole family
