Fantastic big room right on the quiet end of the beach with views over the sea - perfect

Second time staying at Sea Port and once again we were not disappointed. Hiriketiya has gone through some changes in the past couple of years but Sea Port still remains the best place to stay. Right opposite the beach - perfect for sunrise swims and surfs before the waves get too busy. Run by the sweetest Sri Lankan couple who are on hand in person or via WhatsApp for anything you might need during your stay. We loved getting to know our hosts better this time and learning more about the history of the area. Value for money is amazing for the location, size of the rooms and hospitality. Sea Port will always be our first choice of accommodation in Hiriketiya and we hope to return again in the future.

The location was exactly what I was looking for—step out the gate, cross a small road, and you’re on the beach. I could grab my surfboard and hit the waves in seconds! My wife and I loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean each night—it was the perfect place to unwind. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. The laundry service was quick, efficient, and reasonably priced. One small detail I missed in the terms was that payment is cash-only, which would have been more convenient with a card, but it wasn’t a big issue at all. The room was clean, the bathroom was good, and for the price, it’s great value for money. With restaurants, bars, and entertainment just next door, you won’t find a better location in Hiriketiya. Highly recommend—just go!

Great location on the beachfront. Great view of the sea. Beds were big and comfy.

The WiFi didn’t work very well

- very good wifi, by far our best in Sri Lanka - excellent location, a few steps from the beach - friendly and flexible staff - comfortable bed - nice shower - good price / value ratio

Right on the beach, minutes away from local restaurants, bars and cafes. Very friendly and welcoming hosts and we were able to check in as soon as we arrived. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was also very hygienic and clean with different shower options. There was a courtyard outside to enjoy the beach views even when it was raining. Our hosts were accomodating and helped us book a taxi to our next location.

Could hear people talking outside the room on the street and music, however this stopped around 9.30pm and it was quiet after this.

Spacious, clean room right over the road from the beach. The hosts are a friendly and helpful couple.

A beautiful bay which has definitely been discovered by the tourists

Everything was good except for the noise level at night , barking dogs all night. So take ear plugs and all will be well, Hiriketiya is beautiful but busy.
