Wonderful place But...

Panchkot Wonderful place but... At the arrival at the hotel the staff doesn't know that we have a reservation. Event if few days before we receive a mail of welcome from the hotel This family hotel could be a wonderful place. But there is not any kind of maintenance of the infrastructure of the place. The photos in the booking websites do not correspond to the reality. We stay 5 days and at any moment they dress the garden and the terrace. Every thing is covered with a dirty kind of plastic. At the entrance yard all-around you can find trash and paper on the ground. I do not know if it is normal to employ a person under 15 years. The girl at the reception Rudrani was totally discourteous and disrespectful with the guests. Instead of apologize she MOCK to us. They never ever answered to phone calls. On the other hand for a place of this level, it's not normal that we can't pay with credit card. In the reservation just say that the payment will manage by the hotel... But never say that the payment has to be done in cash. You must know that ATM. Give maximum 10000 rupees.(near100 euros). We spend two hours looking for money. Please do not look under the sheet and pillow cover. You will not put your head on. Also never eat dinner at the hotel is not good at all and very expensive. Finally for a price of 80 euros per night they never ever clean the room. I do not recommend this place at all.

Quietness was exceptional. Very attractive : unique being an old family home with 5 rooms . Home cooked meals served in pretty courtyard.

High humidity made room feel damp. We had a room with stone floors and completely stone bathroom. Other rooms appear to have tiled floors and basins which I would prefer. Access is a little complicated needing a key or call to staff to open gates. Gates are very stiff to open and way down to ghat is littered and dog poo on steps. I hope staff might consider some cleaning of this. Charm and grace of staff more than made up for these comments which are intended as suggestions for improvements…

The location and the interior communal space

I have never felt the need to write a review before It had so much potential. The interior communal space was beautiful. The rooms were rather dark, beds hard. But the appearance of the outside space is scrappy,on approach you’re not quite sure if it a guest house or not. It doesn’t have a secure welcoming feel. The biggest disappointment were there staff. After an initial warm welcome they didn’t seem that interested in us. Breakfast was limited and doesn’t start until 8.30. When we need to leave at 5.15 for morning sunrise we were promised they would be up to open the gates. We had to wake them up and were handed the key. They only accept cash which is sometimes difficult to get that much out of an ATM. An attitude change is needed.
