"This property is a small gem, perfect for a solo stay or with family in the holy city of Varanasi."

9.0

We loved everything about this property. From the start, the excellent host, Ms. Jyoteshwarisingh, contacted me a few days before our arrival to provide all the important information and stayed in touch with us throughout our stay, making everything very comfortable. We visited with our extended family of 8 members, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We had 4 rooms to ourselves. This is a heritage property, and all the rooms are beautifully decorated while offering modern comforts. The common living room, along with the front and rear backyards, are all stunning. In fact, the photos on booking.com don’t do it full justice — the place is even more beautiful in person. The location is excellent, overlooking the majestic Ganga River and close to many ghats. Unfortunately, we couldn’t visit the nearby ghats due to the monsoon season and some flooding. The food served was simple but delicious, featuring authentic local cuisine. The support staff was friendly and helpful. This property is a small gem, perfect for a solo stay or with family in the holy city of Varanasi.

"A great stay"

9.0

The location was good. It was easy to walk to Assi Ghat. The setting is nice and the ambiance great. Staff was wonderful. Dinner offered alittle late for me, but the food was excellent.

The inconvenience of paying cash and the gate access early in the morning was alittle of a hassle.

"not recommended for tourist"

3.0

close to ganges

location is horrible for foreign tourist, in the middle of narrow and extreamly dirty streets were we felt totally uncomfortable, the room was not cleaned during our stay (3 days...), ac was too noisy to be able to sleep when it's and breakfast was poor and simple, we couldn't choose.. it was just an omelette with bread with no coffee or tea.. additionally, one night, even we have arranged dinner on advance, they didn't serve it. Not recommended at all

"Panchkote 2nd time."

8.0

The location is excellent on banks of river Ganga. Food is healty and clean. Staff friendly. Old world charm.

The up keep can me much better. Place can be more presentable with good manicured greenery. Bath area is very narrow and facility is absent has to be provided. Approach to property is very narrow and rain made it worse. The river has swollen which prevented boating it was a dis appointment

"** Escape from this place !! **"

Almost Nothing

** Escape from this place !! ** This hotel is in the middle of a wasteland, The staff is unpleasant, There is no real front desk, staff is never around when you want to ask for a service, They want to charge you for miscellaneous things If you go out and want to get in after 9:00 pm, you are locked outside, waiting for someone deigns to come and open the door for you - - - Terrible value for money - - - My worst experience in traveling for years !

Some staff were lovely. Breakfast was traditional and delicious, as was dinner that we had one night. Beds big and comfortable. Nice sized room. Quite far from main attractions but overlooking the Ganges which was wonderful. They arranged a boat trip for us which was beautiful.

The hotel tried to charge us the Booking.com commission fee that the hotel should be paying, which we refused to pay having seen previous reviews! DO NOT use the hotel tuktuk - the driver drove us to the pharmacy and asked if we wanted to see more of the town, we asked for 10 min drive around which turned into 3hrs in a local scarf factory, where we bought 2 very overpriced scarves - after tipping the driver a big tip which he asked for, we then found out 2 days later from another scarf shop that he had made 50% commission on these scarves and we felt scammed by this. He also took us 15mins down the road and charged us 5 x the amount it should have been (informing us after we were in the tuktuk). Hotel nice but no offer of room clean or towel change in 3 days. Not felt to be worth the money sadly..
