Nice staff.

Headboard dirty and peeling. Brown water from hot tap every time. Lukewarm shower. Breakfast starts at 8am (too late when work / conference starts at 8am). Uncomfortable pillows. Very limited vegetarian options for dinner.

Staff are very friendly and I really rate the food in the restaurant. The room was quite something to see.

Although it looks amazing, the giant bathtub in the room is less practical than a shower and I'm not sure how often it is used as the water was originally a bit brown and gritty.

We stayed one night to go to the theatre. Convenient as just up the road ten minutes walk.

Food was average pub food There was very limited options for vegan/dairy free diets The shower in the bath was very difficult to use - almost impossible to shower sensibly without help of someone else plus it wasted a lot of water through the tap and shower head There was no conditioner Bed wasn't very comfortable

Good pub with a nice atmosphere, and a solid selection of drinks. The food was decent, nothing special, but perfectly acceptable.

Unfortunately, the accommodation above the pub was very disappointing. The room had a strong musty smell that didn’t improve even after leaving the window open for hours. The decor felt very dated, and the room itself was dusty and damp, which made the smell worse. There were also practical issues: no hot water in the shower, and an alarm going off at 1am (apparently due to a local power outage, so not entirely the hotel’s fault). Overall, the pub side is good, but the rooms need significant improvement.

Friendly staff , good bar , beautiful building and close to town centre 😀👍
