Breakfast was served promptly, hot and tasty the location was very good for our requirements.

Our room overlooked a car park, not much to look at, although the event and seating area looked inviting. Unfortunately the cold water seemed to be “heated” by the DHW so was never cold. Access to our “cottage” was a short walk outside from the reception area.

Useful location as close to my companies office. The bar is nice and has a good selection of drinks. Staff are friendly and nice. The food menu is good with a broad selection too, and dinner was tasty.

The first table I sat at for dinner had ants on it - likely because of a what looked like a layer of spilt sugar that hadn't been cleaned up. I moved to another table and also saw an ant. Tables could do with a once over with a cloth. The bar closed at 10pm, which is very early.

Stunning room, renovated to a exceptional standard. Excellent value for money. Couldn’t recommend more.

Location and professional staff

Lovely rooms and very well appointed. Food at the inn was excellent and the service at all times was friendly, personable and very professional. Thank you for looking after us so well, even if was was just one night - when we come back, we know where we'll be looking to book.

Only issue was the rooms were a little too warm! Eventually worked out the heating so even this minor issue was sorted out. Otherwise absolutely no problems.

Interesting and comfortable room, staff pleasant and helpful. Food provided for the wake was appropriate.

Evening meal was disappointing. Not immediately clear at breakfast (pre-paid) what was available for us to eat (cereal packets present on the bar but we were not offered them, menu had prices included--were we entitled to have the fruit salad dish as well as cooked course etc). Room involved a short walk outside, then opening locked door, going up a staircase and walking to end of corridor. Large deep bath present in the room plus notice saying bath mat available in reception!
