The Residence Hikkaduwa

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Residence with Chamara and his family. They were friendly, helpful and easy to contact when necessary. The apartment was very clean and spacious with an efficient air conditioner. The Residence has a nice outdoor area with a pool and lounge chairs. Our breakfast was served on the balcony and was fresh and delicious.

Everything! From our arrival we were welcomed by Chamara and his family. The property is located at the back of his residence within a short walking distance to the beach, main road and shops. Beautiful apartments and setting, and no noise. It was my birthday whilst staying and everyone knew, wishing happy birthday and receiving cake and flowers on the day. Perfect small touches. Chamara was contactable if needed and was very knowledgeable with all questions we had. There are just 2 rooms at this accommodation-You really need to book ASAP. Amazing hotel 😍

This is rather an apartment than a room! It is very spacious and super clean! The rooms are located in the inside area of host‘s residence which make is it very quiet, private and relaxing. We had amazing authentic Sri Lankan breakfast on the rooftop every morning. Chamara is a great host with many years of experience and one could see that. He explained us a lot about Sri Lanka and even drove us to a great little restaurant. The staff is very hard working and very nice. The beach is just across the road, which makes it the perfect place to stay. We would definitely go again!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the establishment, and just want to express our utmost satisfaction with the accommodation provided. The serene atmosphere, comfortable amenities, and attention to detail made our stay truly memorable. It's only 3 minutes walking from the beach which is amazing. I would also like to extend my deepest gratitude to Chamara and his wife for their extraordinary assistance during a medical situation. Their prompt and compassionate response made a challenging moment much more manageable, and I am sincerely thankful for their care and support. Moreover, on our way to our next accommodation Chamara understood during the ride that we didn't visit the city of Galle, and made a special stop for us in order to see the city. His local insights and willingness to go the extra mile truly enhanced our experience. Overall, our time at Residence Hikkaduwa exceeded expectations, and we truly recommend everyone to spend a few nights there. Thanks again to Chamara and his family for the warm hospitality in this great property!

It’s a hidden gem in Hikkaduwa! The owner is a wonderful person who has many years experience in tourism, which made a small heaven in Hikkaduwa. The service is perfect ! The room is perfect in size, design, style, colour selection; all amenities (5star), the bed is extremely comfy, the balcony large and private. The breakfast was the best in Sri Lanka. The property has just 2 rooms and wish everyone to be lucky to stay in the residence Hikkaduwa. It’s very close to train and bus station and very close to beach but no noise at all. Make your stay exceptional in Hikkaduwa and don’t miss to stay in The Residence Hikkaduwa.
