The Residence Hikkaduwa

The Residence in Hikkaduwa is an one of a kind accomodation like an oasis in the busy surrounding of Hikkaduwa. We spent four nights there and it was a very good choice for us. The room is spacious, clean and well equipped. You can tell that the owner has extensive experience in the hotel business and uses it skillfully in decorating the premises. Speaking of the owner, Chamara is a very congenial host with whom you can have an excellent conversation. He told us a lot about the country and its inhabitants, which was very informative for us. Thank you for having us, we definitely recommend staying at the Residence Hikkaduwa. Also the breakfast is delicious and it is possible to have your laundry cleaned within 48 hours for a small amount of money which was very helpful for us.

We spent our last two nights in Sri Lanka here. Everything was perfect. The room was huge and super clean. Breakfasts were really great. We had to leave early in the morning to catch our flight and they made us a very great take away breakfast. Everyone was super friendly and made sure that our stay was calm and relaxing. The pool was great too. Highly recommended!

The best stay in Sri Lanka! The hotel is in a great location, super clean and very well equiped. You can really feel like in a luxury hotel. Delicious and diffetent breakfast every morning served in your room terrace/balcony. Lovely and clean pool and all area. And of course amazing host! Chamara was very kind and always was taking care that everything would be perfect for your stay and nothing is missing. Great value for money, highly recommend!

The property is in a great location, and the room is huge and extremely clean. It is well equipped with all the toiletries and a bathrobe and slippers. The shower is separate to the commode which I loved as I hate when the entire washroom gets wet. There is a mini bar in the room and the wifi is great. There is a plunge pool outside and a rooftop area. Not only was the property great, the host Chamara was amazing. From start to finish he picked us up from negombo and took us to hikkaduwa and on the way stopped to show us the turtle hatchery and a herbal garden. He was so helpful very courteous and helped with our Onward travel by providing transportation. He also gave good recommendations inside hikkaduwa and beyond. I would come back here again and again. Thankyou Chamara the residence was the best place I stayed at during my entire trip.

There was nothing to dislike

We had an amazing stay at The Residence Hikkaduwa. The hosts were really friendly and tried to help whenever they could. The breakfast was tasty. The room was clean and tidy. Everything was perfect!

We loved absolutely everything in this accommodation. The boutique hotel is decorated with so much taste as you can’t find in any other place. Super comfortable bed. Silence at night. Big room. Inside is everything the tourist would need. Even the flashlight to walk at night outside. The location is the best you can find in Hikaduwa. Ony 5 min walk from beach, bars, restaurants or shops. Breakfast the best we had in Sri Lanka. Do not miss the green pancakes with coconut and honey. And the owner speaks perfect English. He is a super friendly and you can have a great conversation with him. Hmmm, I forgot to mention the pool with super refreshing and clean watter, place to chill. Or the rooftop for having a drink in the evening. If you are searching for extraordinary place in Hikaduwa, this is The One!

Absolutely fantastic stay. Rooms are huge, bathrooms are clean, pool and garden area is lovely. The owner is wonderful and kind with lots of advice about local spots.
