A very cozy, homely, and charming little hotel with exceptionally friendly hosts. The location is perfect if you are planning day trips outside of New Orleans.

It was very charming. There was a nice porch and deck to sit outside on.

Peter and Ruby are great hosts....very nice! Our stay was very quiet. I know there were others staying there due to the cars in the parking lot, but we never heard them. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is a couple of blocks from Lake Pontchatrain which is a very nice area. Several good restaurants nearby. We were always up and out of the room before breakfast was served, but there is always an array of pastries, muffins, yogurt, etc. you can pick up on your way out. Parking is free and hassle-free. I would definitely stay here again.

This was our first time in New Orleans so we didn't have the lay of the land yet. The only negative thing about Rose Manor is the distance from the French Quarter, if you plan to spend time there. Parking is atrocious downtown. We had thought to park near the end of one of the streetcar lines and ride in, but we couldn't find parking near the streetcar. We ended up finding a parking lot several blocks north of the Quarter and walking. We only paid $5, but it was crazy trying to drive around down there. It would have been easier to stay closer to the Quarter. However, we would have paid much more for a room and parking. None of that is the fault of Rose Manor. Just something to keep in mind if you are planning to spend a lot of time in the Quarter. Knowing what we know now, we would still stay with them again.

The location was great, right next to the water/ lake. Easy access to French Quarter and the park, easy to call ubers to locations. The owners were very friendly, the room was very spacious and clean. I loved the old manor vibe!

The soundproofing in the rooms felt a bit thin, but I didn’t experience many problems.

Really one of the most memorable stays we’ve ever had! The rooms and furniture are vintage but without any hint of being in disrepair. Quite the opposite in fact, everything from the furniture to bathroom was better taken care of than modern hotel rooms built yesterday. The highlight of the whole stay though was Ruby and Peter, who were so welcoming, friendly and insightful! They gave truly local and personally-curated tips about New Orleans that you can’t find anywhere online. Truly wonderful people and hosts that we would be happy to stay with again.

A cozy bed and breakfast with a lot of charm and personality. The accommodation is located close to the lake and offers a warm, family-like atmosphere. The host is especially welcoming and often available for a friendly chat during breakfast, which adds a very personal touch. The originally and lovingly decorated Southern-style cottages create a unique ambiance with a distinctive New Orleans flair. This combination of character, hospitality, and individuality makes the stay particularly memorable. Although the property is not located right in the city center, it still stands out thanks to its peaceful surroundings, special atmosphere, and the attentive hospitality. A charming place that leaves a lasting impression.
