Personnel was very nice, but I had the room on ground level so the great view got lost, but from the terrace from the highest floor it is really breathtaking. The breakfast is very nice but has to be paid in cash. It’s also nice that it’s in a safe area, and the rooms are very spacious.

I think the price is a little steep for what it is, and the nights can be pretty loud because of the train station.

Beliggenheden var god for os. Overnatningsstedet ligger i et roligt område tæt på Nizamuddin togstation, hvorfra vi tog toget til Agra, samtidig er det tæt på seværdigheder såsom Humayun’s Mausoleum. Personalet var venlige og gode til at hjælpe. Morgenmaden var rigtig god.

B19 is an excellent low key place to stay in Delhi. It’s in a mostly very quiet residential area right next to Humayun’s Tomb. It has a rooftop dining area which gives a great view of the dome of the tomb, although it’s not warm enough to use at this time of year. The room was clean, and had all of the basic necessities, and there is a kitchen you could theoretically use to prepare your own meals, but we ordered room service which was excellent with a good variety of dishes (and which is cooked in the same kitchen). The staff were very friendly and helpful especially on the first night we arrived at 3.30 AM!

A minor gripe is that would not let me pay my room service bill by card, so I had to pay in cash. The other thing that might put some people off is that it is quite close to a busy railway station, so there is a bit of noise from trains honking and hooting, and the odd distant pa announcement, but given the birds soaring around the sky overhead, we likened them to the roars of distant wild beasts, and it certainly beats the sound of road traffic!

Mooi ingericht en huiselijke boutique hotel met vriendelijk personeel. De kamer was erg ruim en had was prettig ingericht en voorzien van handige meubels (bureau, bank, etc). Tevens waren de maaltijden: ontbijt, lunch en diner vers en erg smakelijk bereid. Het was schoon en had een fantastisch dakterras vanaf waar je de spectaculaire Humayun's tomb kon bekijken. Dat geeft al aan op wat voor toplocatie het hotel zich bevond, in de rustige en idyllische wijk Nizamuddin East, een steenworp afstand van parels zoals Humayun's tomb en Sundar Nursery.

Ondanks de rustige residential wijk, was er toch geluidsoverlast van treinen in de nacht (het hotel bevond zich vlak bij een treinspoor). Hier moest ik vooral de eerste nacht aan wennen.

The staff was great and the room and balcony were perfect. It is close to the Nizamuddin Railway Station. It is quiet in the neighborhood.

The owner/manager seemed to want to make things more difficult than they should have been. I had to ask three or four times for directions to the train station before he would show me the way out of the compound. I didn't get to try the breakfast because they didn't serve the Indian breakfast until 9:00 am. I needed to settle up the evening before I left and he wouldn't accept a credit card for beers and food. He has a credit card machine, he just refused to use it. I was scraping up US dollars and Euros because there is no ATM machine close by. For the cost of the room, I expected a little more effort from the management.
