Fantastic hosts who clearly care about what they do. They went out of their way to make me and my son feel welcome. Lovely breakfast in a sunny garden. Close to harbour but secluded.

This was an exceptionally good stay for 2 nights , Robert, what a top host you are ,so friendly and thoughtful,loads of handy tips for places to visit,eat and drink ,walks,bus links etc .The house and garden are just beautiful, the gorgeous cat Pebbles was an added bonus for us as cat lovers. We had a game of pool and darts in the games room at the bottom of the garden .We were in the family room with our own private bathroom down the hall ,fabulous rainfall type shower.The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious(great homemade jam by Catriona) and filled us up for the day .It was very near to the harbour front and for the Fife coastal path. If you want somewhere delightful to stay I would recommend this place .

"Scottish hospitality at it’s best"

After a warm Scottish welcome from Robert and Catriona we were shown to our room which was immaculately clean, well appointed and extremely comfortable. Robert also gave us a brief about Anstruther and the surrounding area covering places to visit, where to eat and other things to do. Brackness House is only 5 mins walk from the harbour with it’s restaurants and bars which come highly recommended especially the Ship Tavern and Waterfront restaurant where the food was very tasty and good value. The breakfast in Brackness House was freshly prepared with quality ingredients and set us up well for our days out. All in all, we were delighted with Brackness House and would strongly recommend it to anyone visiting the East Neuk of Fife. It was a real home from home with extremely friendly and helpful hosts.
