Brackness House Luxury B&B

Robert and Catriona made us very welcome and were extremely helpful from beginning to end of our stay- above and beyond

Our stay was just perfect. The house too is beautiful and has lots of character. Combining both period features and modern design. And only a 2 minute walk from the harbour front. Robert and Catriona were amazing hosts. So friendly and looked after us so well. The room was immaculate, bed super comfy and the bathroom with the walk in rainshower was amazing! The cooked breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever tasted and set us up for the day. There’s also a sitting room which guests can use and a cabin in the garden too which has a pool table tv and dart board and a gorgeous decking area where you can sit outside. So lots of space. We’ve already booked again for next year as there’s so many places we want to explore.

Dated, not luxury, glasses were dirty, musty smell. Sheets and towels need replacing.The outdoor entertainment room was disgusting. Only stayed one night out of two

Position is great, just 5 minutes' walk to the harbour. The guest house is gorgeous and Robert and Catriona were brilliant. The breakfasts were tops and Robert even went out especially to buy rolls so I could have Lorne Sausage inaroll. Ask for Catriona's raspberry jam incidentally… it would win prizes. The wee present of caramel wafers and tea cakes on top of the fresh water bottles every day was a nice touch. The shower was excellent and what a change it was to have 4 ply rolls and not the usual 3 ply ones. Parking right outside the door. The two top chippies in Britain as just down the road and we met the huge star Greg Hemphill whilst queuing outside the Anstruther Fish Bar. Lovely chap.
