Chris and Jane are delightful hosts and I was extremely happy with my stay. My breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. I will definitely be back.

I would highly recommend Black Lantern. The room was clean and comfortable, the hosts were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was fantastic. Can’t say enough good about Black Lantern.

The breakfast prepared by our hostess Jayne was exceptional. Our server, host Chris (Jayne’s husband) did an excellent job (right on time) of serving us and explaining what Jayne had prepared and where everything was sourced. It was evident that items were responsibly sourced and tastefully prepared and served! Jayne and Chris were superb hosts. Everything was “right on”! It is evident they love having a B & B and offering an above average experience to their guests. On almost every level they exceeded our expectations. They were also very knowledgable about things to do in the Roanoke area; what to see, where to eat, sites to visit, etc. Also it was a great value for services/accommodations/breakfast received! We will definitely return.

Absolutely nothing! They exceed our expectations on every count.

The place was immaculate, the hosts were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, the room was so clean and comfortable and the location was perfect. The food was beyond excellent.

The only thing that we didn't like was that we couldn't stay there longer..

We really enjoyed the breakfast. Chris and Jayne do a great job preparing the breakfast menu with things we don’t normally have for breakfast. Very nice!!
