The shower was a bit grubby.

We received a warm welcome, and the room was cosy with thoughtful touches such as chocolates on the bed, bottled water, bathrobes, and a helpful guidebook. The shared kitchen was well-stocked, offering a variety of teas and coffees, along with fruit and snacks available at any time.

The property is somewhat dated, but overall it’s acceptable, and the photos accurately reflect the rooms. An aspect that isn't covered in the listing - there are no pictures of the shared bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom is functional but quite old, and cleanliness could be improved. For example, the shower heads appeared dirty and there were cobwebs above the shower curtain. These are relatively small issues that could be easily addressed without major refurbishment, but they do impact the overall impression. The most disappointing aspect of the stay was the breakfast. While there was a reasonable selection available—bread, croissants, yoghurt, jam, cheese, and cereals—everything was pre-packaged and left out for guests to help themselves. The quality of the ingredients also felt quite basic. As a result, we chose not to have breakfast. With a bit more attention to quality and presentation, this could easily become a much more positive part of the experience.

Lovely and thoughtful hosts, comfortable and homely

The host was very welcoming on arrival, showed me to my room and showed me the bathroom to avoid any confusion so this was really helpful. The host also provided me with a map of the town, also explained locations of beaches close by, again very helpful for my first visit here. The facilities excellent with tea and coffee, available items for breakfast in the kitchen and a nice little selection of chocolate/biscuits. The property clean and tidy, including the room, great value for money and an excellent location close to the town, was able to park easy outside the property with plenty of space, so overall a great experience and I will return on my next visit. Thank you.
