Villa Da Madalena

Good location. Big room.

The staff were friendly but couldn't give much information about things to do in the area.

All perfect. Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was rich and good. Position was perfect to reach restaurants, beach and ferry.

Very large room and bathroom. Good location with parking slots. Good value for money

We got the room aside the breakfast room and noise was waking us up around 7.30 (not too bad if you want the see the island but no ideal if you like sleeping until late).

Ideal location to stay in Madalena, just 5 minutes away by foot to the city centre etc. Supermarket is just 3 minutes away, other nice shops and restaurants are just 5 minutes away by foot. Also, you get very nice views towards the harbour area & the Pico mountain. The room & the bathroom were quite big, a lot of space, and the room had air-conditioning. Friendly & very supportive staff.

I thought that there'd be some other facilities available in the room. For eg. a water kettle or a coffee machine, a small fridge etc. so that you can make hot drinks or keep some water/drinks in the fridge. Unfortunately they weren't in the room. Also, my room was located just next to the reception area, so there was a lot of noise when people were around at the reception (the door wasn't sound proof).

Location is good, close to Madalena center where you can find many restaurants and shops / supermarkets. - Having Air conditioning in every room of the apartment in which we stayed. - Parking places on the premises

- The property next to it is not maintained and can give you a feeling of unsafety when passing next to it (if walking). - Housekeeping means that they will come to pick up the garbajge and make the beds. They do not replace towels nor do they clean anything in the room. - Breakfast is very limited, but enough if you want to have a basic sandwich and a coffee before starting your day.

Location is ideal for the ones willing to spend a few days in pico. Walking distance to madalena. We stayed in an apartement with a kitchen and it was also convenient. The apartment was clean. The staff was very helpful.

Staff was helpful and booked a super taxi service for me when my cell phone didn't work. Also, they had a great breakfast buffet. The place was spotless and had great views of the ocean and Faial.

The view is stunning. At the exit you see Mount Pico. I had a balcony with Seaview over the bay of Magdalena, facing towards Faial Island. It is just a five minute walk to the center and a supermarket is just a minute below the house. No problems to park the car. Nice breakfast at the terrace.

The room was big and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The shower was big also. Breakfast was average there was eggs and bacon but no vegetables. There was bread and yoghurt and some fruit. The hotel grounds are very beautiful.

Although no fault of the hotel I could not sleep well for 4 days. This was due to loud music that kept going through the night till 4 or 5 am. Unfortunately, there was some festival going on during the days I was staying there. It seems that there are no local laws regulating noise during the night. If I would visit Pico again I would definitely not stay here. My room was at ground floor and near the entrance so whoever came in or went out I would hear everything.

Breakfast can be improved: the bread was quite bad and, although we are used to eat salty stuff during the morning, few more delicious Portuguese sweets would have been appreciated (there were only packaged products)
