Petit Ermitage

Wow, this place is amazing! James is a great host, he gave us a lot of tips and made sure that we were feeling comfortable at the B&B. They have a lovely breakfast which is served in the apartment. The apartment is spacious, nicely furnished and clean and there is a pool in the backyard where you can relax after a day on the Winetram. We really can recommend staying at James place.

Peaceful and beautiful stay right in the centre of town. James was an amazing host and the breakfast was fantastic.

Everything about Petit Ermitage was perfect for our stay. It is ideally located close to the restaurants and shops in Franschhoek, with no safety concerns even walking back after dark. James was the consummate host, contacting us before our stay to offer advice and recommendations, then meeting us on arrival. He also dropped in occasionally to check everything was going well for us. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed and strong shower (both important to us). It is well-appointed with everything you could need including a stocked wine rack and fridge containing miniatures, mixers and beer. We spent an afternoon by the pool, which is clean, well maintained and had the most comfortable loungers we have ever used. We had a lovely breakfast provided by Norma; it was our favourite of the whole holiday trip. The fruit bowl was delicious, (thick) freshly squeezed orange juice and a selection of local sausages to choose from. This is a five-star review for Petit Ermitage, and we would definitely recommend staying if you are in the area.

Outstanding service from James and Norma, delicious breakfast with all you can wish for (fresh fruits, juice, yoghurt, muesli, eggs, cheese, ham etc). The accommodation is very nice and clean, very comfortable bed, nice pool. Highly recommended.
