Mike was the perfect host! Our room was comfortable and cosy with a gorgeous view. We loved the inclusion of a cooked breakfast each day, with plenty of variety, and free car parking. The bus stop was close by, and Ambleside's pubs an easy 10 minute walk. Meadowbank is the perfect place to explore the Lakes District.

It is in a great spot, just outside the town centre. 5-10 minutes walk away. the host was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. it was great value. I was able to get breakfast a little earlier than the official time without problem.

I don't particularly like having to fill in a list of what I may want to eat for breakfast the night before. though I understand this makes life easier for the hosts and it seems to be the way things are often done nowadays.

Location was quiet and easy walking to town. Good access to walking tracks and exploring the countryside. Beautiful room and comfortable. Very clean, enjoyed my stay very much.
