Full of character, warm and inviting. Nice change from modern impersonal hotels. Great central location suited our needs perfectly. Walking distance to the Botanic Gardens, historical Arts & Uni precinct, restaurants, shopping etc. Managers so helpful with good tips for our meals, transport needs, restaurants etc. & met some other lovely, happy guests while enjoying a complimentary wine for Hapoy Hour in the evenings. Love to come back another time!

Plumbing noisy from adjoining rooms/bathrooms but is an old renovated home!

Quaint and charming facility, welcoming staff great location

Lovely breakfast buffet included fresh seasonal fruit, yogurt, cereal, nuts, fresh bread, cheese, ham, boiled eggs and home-baked goodies. I appreciated the comfotable bed made with good quality cotton bed linen and coverlet. The manager Hannah was kind and helpful, offering top tips for sightseeing and dining out.

The roller blinds on the windows let in the light in the morning. Blockout curtains would greatly improve this.

The best location for central Christchurch, with fantastic staff. The breakfast was plentiful and varied and we also appreciated the glass of wine in the evening whilst chatting with other guests

We were in a room at the front of the house next to the main road, so there was some road noise during peak commuter times. However, this was minimal at night and did not really disturb us too much.

We loved the location, within walking distance of many attractions and dining. The hotel itself was cozy and historical.

very good location. friendly staff. The manager is very helpful in providing the city information for first timers. breakfast is continental and a very good one. Feel like home made one, bread and muffin, etc. General experience is very good.
