Very kind hosts, nice room, vintage bathroom

Gumnut House was the most comfortable and warmest accommodation we stayed in during our trip. Unfortunately, we encountered stormy weather and our flights were repeatedly cancelled. When I thought we could not continue our trip, I contacted Maryann. She did not hesitate to cancel our reservation for free, which was very kind! Finally, we caught up with our travel plans and rebooked Gumnut House. Maryann and Barry were very friendly and welcoming, their house was very clean and the garden was very beautiful. We enjoyed our stay and relaxed. And the breakfast prepared by Maryann was very rich. Thank you very much!

Breakfast was simple, healthy, tasty and good size. Staying on residential side of Whanganui was a good move, we were able to walk everywhere. Bathroom was private but not directly accessed from our room. Host was helpful, friendly but unobtrusive. Large roomy, very private property. Comfortable to hang out in, good WiFi.

Gumnut House is beautiful in a lovely garden.. The rooms are large and beautfully done out Mary Anne was an attentive host. There were even homemade biscuits. Breakfast was excellent.

The property was beautiful and the house was very clean. Friendly hosts and a wonderful breakfast. We would absolutely stay here again!
